The Mill
Greta Mill is the perfect place to relax and enjoy quality time with families and groups of friends in the beautiful market town of Keswick surrounded by the northern fells with easy access to explore the Lake District.
The house is well situated to be a 5 minute stroll into the town centre whilst providing views over Fitz Park, the gentle slopes of Skiddaw and Latrigg. There are a host of walking opportunities on the doorstep. There is very easy access from A66 and the M6.
Greta Mill: sleeps 8-10
The mill was built circa 1850, becoming a home for a local family from the late 1950s before being renovated in 2012. We became the proud owners of Greta Mill in 2014. Our home offers a combination of traditional and modern features, with much welcome space to enjoy. All rooms have central heating. The private paved court yard includes a Hot tub for an extra dash of luxury.
Ground floor
The kitchen comes with all the essentials, range cooker, microwave, toaster, fridge, freezer, a dishwasher, washing machine, a clothes airer. Ironing facilities are also provided. The kitchen includes a central island for ease of food preparation, with kitchen table and a cosy seating area with wood burning stove to add the finishing touch.
The living room with dining space for 10, includes wood burner log fire and TV. There is a good selection of walking books and a wealth of local information to help you make your stay a rich and varied time.There is WiFi internet. On the half landing there is a family bathroom with a roll top bath and the double aspect includes a gorgeous view of Latrigg!
First floor
There are two large kingsize double bedrooms and a standard double each with en suite shower rooms (with WC and handbasin) with ample space. The one twin bedroom, also with en suite shower room, has a fell outlook. All bedlinen and towels are provided. Gas and electric is included.
Babies and children
Features for little ones include a stair-gate! A travel cot and high chair are available for a small fee. Z beds for 2 extra children are available upon request for an extra charge of £25/ Z bed.
Outside facilities
There is secure storage/drying area for bikes, boots, SUP and the paraphernalia of holiday life! A pleasant paved courtyard with patio table and chairs provides a sun trap when the weather is favourable! The hot tub may be used until 10 30pm.
A huge bonus in Keswick is the private parking for up to 3 cars at Greta Mill.
Pets
Pets are welcome in the ground floor of Greta Mill. A stair gate is available to ensure no pet access to upstairs.
